Finials should be suitable in size to the pole to which they are mounted and well matched to the window treatments and room decor. Finials should complement rather overwhelm your window treatments. Finials may be constructed from a variety of materials such as stone, glass, metal wood or resin. Finials attach to the curtain rod in two basic fashions. First, finials may feature a screw or bolt which allows the finial to be screwed into the end of the pole allowing a flush mount to the end of the curtain rod. Second, finials may feature a cup which slides over approximately 5/8" of the end of the curtain rod. These cups are typically secured with a hidden set screw or tension mounted. |
