Swag
curtains are generally swooping across the top of your window. These are called scarf swags or scarf swag panels. There are other types of swags that have a tailored edge on each side, called fishtail swags. Another variety is a swag pair - that opens and closes, like a tier curtain that would be used to expand across a large window with a valance. The fabrics can be a stiff or soft and flowing, depending on the look. Swag curtains
can be used alone to soften a window frame without reducing the
light. Or they can be used with another treatment for a
